Detox Treatment

The first step to recovery is the detoxification process which is a clearing of toxins from your body. Going through detox can feel like a bad case of the flu, and anxiety, depression, and irritability may occur. Our medical staff will help you withdraw comfortably and safely from alcohol, opioids, or other drugs so you can participate in your treatment program.

At Yellow Wood Recovery you will be treated with compassion and understanding as you progress through the three components of detox:
1
Evaluation entails testing for substances and screening for co-occurring mental and physical conditions. Evaluation also includes a comprehensive intake assessment of your physical and mental health conditions and social situation, which will be used as the basis for your initial treatment plan after detox.
2
Stabilization is the process of going through withdrawal to a medically stable, substance-free state. This is often done with the assistance of medication. Stabilization includes familiarizing you with what to expect in treatment and your role in treatment and recovery.
3
Fostering your entry into treatment involves preparing you for entry into substance abuse treatment by stressing the importance of following through with the complete substance abuse continuum of care.

During detox you will be surrounded by Yellow Wood Recovery staff who will treat you with caring and respect, and who will instill a sense of hope for your future. Hope is essential to recovery.
